What I use
A living document with a few things I use on my day-to-day.
Desk
- Personal laptop: MacBook Pro M1 (14-inch, 2021) - A nice laptop with a beautiful display. Way better than the 2019 Intel version.
- Work laptop: MacBook Pro M4 - nothing to complain about.
- Beelink Mini S12 Pro - the tiny server behind a disproportionate amount of my personal infrastructure.
- GenioDesk PRO - I usually try to not stay sitting at my desk for too long. Focus on the word "try".
- ZSA Moonlander - if you see some typos in this document, the keyboard is probably the one to _blabe.
- Monitor 165Hz 27" Dell S2721DGF - Work and play monitor. (by play I mean figuring out how to survive on Oxygen Not Included)
Tools/Apps
- Raycast - A better launcher than Alfred and Spotlight.
- Obsidian - I use it to take notes and to keep track of my projects. Syncing with a custom plugin hosted on my own server. This is the engine behind this website.
- Home Assistant - for home automation and the small joy of making the house obey YAML.
- Hermes Agent - my local-ish AI assistant wired into Obsidian, reminders, messaging and other weird personal infrastructure.
Coding
- Claude Code, OpenCode, Pi and Codex - terminal-native coding agents; I switch between them depending on the task, model and whatever feels right that day.
asdf - Finally a multi-language version tool to rule them all- Mise - FINALLY FINALLY a multi-language version tool to rule them all.
Notes / Analog
- Zebra Sarasa 0.7, always black - my go-to pen for handwritten notes. Cheap, reliable, does not try to be a lifestyle brand.
Everyday
- Apple Watch Series 7 GPS (41mm) - mostly for the quiet nudges to move more.
- Casio G-Shock G-5600UE-1DR - the best one-watch collection possible.
Sports
- Yonex Ezone 98 - tennis racket.
Reading
- Kindle Paperwhite - the default e-reader.
- Xteink X4 - e-ink reader for when I want something a bit more flexible than the Kindle ecosystem.
Gaming
- Anbernic RG34XXSP - tiny nostalgia machine. The responsible adult way to pretend I have time for handheld gaming.
3D printer
- Prusa MK3S+ - with the following mods:
- OctoPrint
- nyloc nut mod
